Natural resources management (NRM) is an approach that aims to work together with the community to manage the environment in a way that achieves a balance between our collective need for resources and the needs of the environment.
Volunteering
Volunteers play an important role in managing Kangaroo Island’s (KI) natural resources. Their contribution of time, energy, expertise, equipment and resources is extremely valuable in the sustainable management of our environment.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience for people of all ages. Volunteers make new friends, learn new things, have fun and keep fit – all in the beautiful surroundings of KI!
A range of volunteering opportunities exists on the island. If you would like to get involved, contact our Natural Resources Centre to be added to our volunteer register – you will be contacted when volunteering opportunities arise.
